Dear Families,
Thank you all who attended our concert this week. Our song reflected our 5th grade spirit!
As I mentioned in my email this week, I will be letting you all know how I will be corresponding with you on classroom details soon. Our new St. Matthew website it on it's way! It sounds amazing! Hooray for change! I always love new opportunities and try to model for our students how to adapt to all the changes that they will need to adapt to in their lives.
Sometime during the Christmas Break, please purchase another 5 subject notebook for your student to have to use during second semester in January. Some students needed theirs earlier due to writing or spacing of pages.
Next Week's Field Trip:
Tuesday: We will be traveling to the U.S. Cellular Arena to participate in the challenge to beat the record for the most students being read to by an adult. The morning's activities include readings by Tom Barrett, President of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Green Bay Packer Ryan Grant, and Milwaukee Brewer Craig Counsell. Students need to bring a lunch. Students will also enjoy a few surprises, Kohl's Wild Theater Program, and the Birds of Raptor Program. We should arrive back at school around 1:00 p.m. We are going with 3rd and 4th grade also. Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Kucharski are our classroom chaperones. We load the busses promptly at 8:30 a.m. It is an out of uniform day. Students should wear comfortable shoes. We will have to climb stairs to our seats on the 4th level. Students will receive a T-shirt, book, and ticket to attend Winter Fest.
