Dear Families,

Thank you all who attended our concert this week.  Our song reflected our 5th grade spirit!

As I mentioned in my email this week, I will be letting you all know how I will be corresponding with you on classroom details soon.  Our new St. Matthew website it on it's way!  It sounds amazing!  Hooray for change!  I always love new opportunities and try to model for our students how to adapt to all the changes that they will need to adapt to in their lives.

Week of December 5th

Dear Families,

Another amazing fifth grade week has ended.  After Saint Nicholas, pajama day, concert practice, and Secret Santa Shopping, we still squeezed in all of our necessary learning.

Several students have asked to exchange gifts, however, I declined this option.  Instead, we will celebrate Christmas on the 22nd on our early dismissal day and enjoy the surprise I have planned.

We have our Read It to Beat It field trip on Tuesday, December 20th.  More information will be forthcoming next week.

Week of November 14th

It was nice to end our full week with the school Thanksgiving Mass presented by our K4, K5, and 1st grade students.  Fr. Pat reminded us all that we should try to say "Thank You" more often and not take people in our lives for granted.   On that note, thank you for any contributions towards our Soles for Jesus project that ends next week.  Our class made additional personalized prayers of hope and inspirational tags to stuff inside our shoe donations.

Hello Everyone!

Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31st:  If possible, students should bring a small pumpkin to carve for our activities.  Students may bring a snack/treat for the class to share if they'd like.  Students may also bring a costume to change into after lunch.

If you ask your students, they will tell you that it was a very hectic and longggggggg week of learning.  We are continuing our journey in the following areas:
